I drilled a hole in the end of the handle and put a piece of leather through it and tied the ends together with a knot.Most of the hand instruments used today have changed little since the middle ages, the only major improvement being the use of steel instead of iron for cutting edges. These figures can be changed to suit yourself. Use whatever works best for you.
